Combining several herbs as herbal remedies could be more potent and more beneficial depending on the kinds of herbs and the ailment being treated. Of course, you need to consider the possible drugs or nutrients interaction that could come out due to using herbal remedies. The possibilities of herbal remedies are in fact endless. The following are some of the effective herbal remedies being used today: Goldenseal. This contains antibiotic. To prepare tea, ½ to 1 teaspoon powdered root per cup. Steeped for 10 minutes. Drink up to 2 cups per day. Chamomile. This is generally beneficial for nerves, ulcers, stomach distress, infection and promotes faster healing. For tea, 2 to 3 teaspoons pr cup. Steeped for 10 to 20 minutes. Take up to 3 cups per day. Garlic. This is an antibiotic and has many anti-viral properties. Garlic treats cholesterol and prevents blood clots that cause heart attack. Season garlic in food. For tea, steep 6 cloves in a cup of cool water for 6 hours. Ginseng. Very well known for stimulating the immune systems of the body and protects the liver from toxins and further improves stamina. Always follow the directions on the label before using.
